What is the difference between UV hard type and UV Skim Coat?Updated 2 months ago

UV hard type was created to be able to use in thicker layers.  This resin is great for UV resin safe molds up to 2" thick, base layers on acrylic blanks and also doming pieces such as acrylic blanks and finishing layers of molds.

Skim coat UV resin is best used in paper thin layers.  Created specifically for pens, staplers, scissors, etc.  It can be used as a top coat on acrylic blanks, however, you will not achieve a “doming” look on those items due to the paper thin layers that are needed when working with this epoxy.  Not ideal for use in molds.

Resin Rockers UV resin requires a UV lamp of 36-48w or direct sunlight to cure.
